Croftside Booking Procedure and Terms & Conditions
We ask that you read the following Booking Procedure and Terms & Conditions carefully. By making a Booking, it is assumed you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.
We strongly advise you and your party has adequate, up-to-date Travel/Cancellation Insurance.
Booking - You may make an email booking request to croftside@btinternet.com, use the online booking facility, contact us form, or telephone 01243 512864.
Children Policy - We welcome well behaved children/young people over the age of 12 at Croftside. There are no age restrictions at the Bay Apartment for Children.
Occasionally, infants can be accommodated in the Boathouse when the apartment is rented as Self Catering
NB - we cannot offer facilities for infants in the Breakfast Room.
Croftside Bed & Breakfast - Terms
Deposit (non-refundable/non-transferable)
50% of the booked accommodation
Balance Payments
If a balance payment is less than £150 – payment required on arrival
If a balance payment is more than £150 – payment required 14 days prior to arrival
Bookings Made within 14 days of Arrival with a total value of £150 or over – Full Payment required when booking, or for Online Bookings only - deposit taken at the time of booking, with the balance immediately payable when booking confirmed by us. All deposits and balance payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellation/Amendment Charges
All B&B/Room Only Bookings
All Deposits & Balance Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable
Cancellation/amendment more than 7 days prior to arrival - Deposit only.
Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival - Full Payment.
If the Booking can be fully re-let, a refund less the deposit and administration costs will be given.
Curtailment of stay - no refund.

Holiday Apartment Self Catering - TermsOverview
Deposit: 50% non refundable/non transferable
Balance: required 6 weeks prior to arrival
A Booking is not firm until we receive a completed signed copy of the Holiday Rental Contract and associated documentation; and we confirm acceptance of the booking. This then forms a binding contract between the owner and the guest signing the rental contract on behalf of the whole party.
If the relevant signed booking documentation is not returned with the given time frame (normally 72 hours) the booking will lapse and be re-opened for sale. Under these circumstances only, for bookings made more than 6 weeks prior to arrival, the holiday deposit will be refunded less an administation charge of £75; if the booking has been made within 6 weeks of arrival no refund will be given.
We advise you contact us to ensure we have received the Agreement within this time frame. We can accept signed scanned copies emailed to Croftside. A full copy of the Terms & Conditions relating to the Holiday Rental Contract may be viewed here.
We are unable to send out reminders for balance payments, so please ensure we receive your payment by the due date to avoid automatic cancellation.
Bookings made less than 6 weeks prior to arrival
Full payment at the time of booking, or for internet bookings only - deposit at the time of reservation - the balance being payable when the booking is confirmed by us which is non-refundable, non-transferable A completed signed Holiday Booking Agreement is also required to confirm the reservation (see above).
Cancellations
You may cancel your booking at any time. Cancellations must be communicated to us in writing and take effect from the date received and acknowledged by us. In the event of cancellation by you – then the following charges become applicable. Bookings are non-transferable.
More than 6 weeks prior to arrival date – 50% of full cost
Between 4-6 weeks prior to arrival date – 75% of full cost
Between 2-4 weeks prior to arrival date – 90% of full cost
Less than 2 weeks prior to arrival date - 100% of full cost
In the unlikely event it becomes necessary for US to cancel your Booking due to circumstances beyond our control - we will refund ALL monies paid to us, by you. No other compensation will be payable.
We accept UK£, Euros, UK BACS Transfers, UK Debit Card foc, Visa & Mastercard Credit Cards or Paypal charge - the greater of £3 or 3%.

Please note a £200-£250 security deposit* is charged on arrival for all Self Catering Rentals - the balance is returned less any charges levied for cleaning, soiling, damage or breakage within 7 days of the departure date.
General

We are unable to accept Dogs or other animals at Croftside - one well behaved small/medium Dog will be considered at the Bay Apartment at an additional charge.
Some Guest Accommodation is at First Floor level - this may prove unsuitable for some Guests – see Disability Access Statement.
To ensure safety, comfort & enjoyment for all Guests & Family we do operate a strict No-Smoking, No-Drugs, No excess Alcohol Policy or any behaviour likely to cause offense or nuisance to other guests or family. We reserve the right to deny access or curtail any Guests’ stay if these conditions are not adhered to. In these circumstances – no refund will be given and additional charges may be incurred.
We are unable to provide facilities for takeaway food or microwaved meals for B&B guests - only light snacks ie sandwiches etc to be eaten in Bedrooms.
Off Street Driveway Parking is at owners own risk - no liability can be accepted for loss or damage howsoever caused.
We reserve the right to decline any booking without giving reason.
Please note we endeavour to ensure all images accurately reflect the rental unit quality; however actual furniture, fixtures & fittings may differ from the published image.
