Disability Access Statement

The house is set back from the unlit main road. There is some lighting in the gravelled Driveway.  Heat sensitive security lighting is positioned to highlight entrances and entrance pathways, with secondary lighting at both front and rear doors.

Cars can be driven to within 20 feet of both the front and rear entrances for the convenience of less able guests but must be parked away from the entrances for safety reasons.

Both front and rear entrance to the house are via 2 shallow steps. Both entrances have secured mats on wooden floors.

The Conservatory Breakfast Room is on the ground floor overlooking the rear garden deck.

Some Guest Bedrooms are on the first floor located via a steep carpeted staircase totalling 14 steps, with a banister rail to one side. These are not suitable for the very young, disabled or infirm guests.

The Ground Floor Suite is accessed via the gravelled drive and the rear entrance with two steps. The Suite is equipped with a Shower-Room comprising walk in Shower, Basin and WC. 

Upstairs, one Bedroom has an Ensuite Bathroom comprising Bath (with Hand Shower) Basin & WC and is accessed from the Bedroom via one small step.  The Bathroom has curtained access from the Bedroom and a sloping ceiling. The second Double Room has a Private Bathroom immediately adjacent to the Bedroom with one small step.  It comprises Bath with Overhead Shower, Basin and WC.

All our bedrooms are carpeted. The plugs in the rooms are at skirting level. All TV’s are remote controlled. Our rooms have very good lighting and have excellent natural light. Non feather pillows only. We use non allergenic duvets.

All Baths/Showers have non-slip surfaces - a Shower/Bat Mat is available on request.

The Boathouse Garden apartment is separate from the Main House, in the rear Garden with 2 small steps at both front & rear accesses. Shower Room with ceramic tiled floor, Handbasin & WC.

Neither the house or garden apartment are suitable for wheel chair users.
